Switzerland's 3+ on the market

COLOGNE, Germany -- Less than a year after the successful launch of Swiss commercial channel 3+, the company's shareholders are looking to sell.

Channel programming boss Thorsten Prenter on Tuesday confirmed media reports that the Swiss station was up for sale, but said he and co-owner Dominik Kaiser were "in no hurry" to find a buyer. Kaiser holds an 89% stake in 3+ while Prenter controls 10% of the channel.

Since its launch in late 2006, 3+ has been a remarkable success, grabbing a 3.2% share of the key 15-49 demographic.
