SXSW: Rian Johnson, Apple's Eddy Cue Join 2018 Speaker Lineup

YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki and 'Girls' creator Lena Dunham also will speak at the annual music, film and technology confab.

SXSW is adding a new crop of speakers to its lineup. 

Apple executive Eddy Cue, who leads the tech company's Internet software and services division, and YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki are among the featured speakers who will join the festival when it takes over Austin from March 9 to 18. 

In addition to the tech executives, Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson, Girls creator Lena Dunham, actor Ethan Hawke and director Spike Lee have been added to the speaker lineup. The cast of Westworld also will participate in a panel discussion ahead of the HBO series' second-season premiere. 

Chelsea Manning, who is running for U.S. Senate in Maryland, will speak with Vogue creative director Sally Singer as part of the SXSW Social Impact programming.

She and the other speakers join a lineup that includes keynote addresses from Darren Aronofsky, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Barry Jenkins and Melinda Gates. 

SXSW will release the film and episode lineup for the festival on Jan. 31.
