Martin Campbell is attached to direct from a script by "Heroes" alum Joe Pokaski.

Syfy is developing a U.S. version of the U.K. sci-fi series Blake's 7.

Casino Royale director Martin Campbell is set to direct the screenplay by Joe Pokaski (Heroes, CSI). Georgeville Television and producer Marc Rosen are behind the project.

Created by Terry Nation (Doctor Who), Blake's 7 launched on the BBC in 1978 and ran for four seasons. The series centered on a group of renegades and criminals who escape from a prison planet, battling humans and aliens -- and becoming heroic figures.

The news comes after THR reported that Syfy was teaming with M. Night Shymalan for his first foray into scripted television with Proof and a Bryan Fuller pilot High Moon.
