Talent manager row rages on

The ongoing dispute between "Strong Medicine" actress Rosa Blasi and her former manager Marathon Entertainment over unpaid commissions and allegations of acting as an unlicensed talent agent may soon turn up in federal court.

Marathon president Rick Siegel said Wednesday that he plans to file suit in federal court asking that it enjoin the California Supreme Court from remanding his case back to the labor commissioner.

Siegel claims the law as it stands is unconstitutional because it does not define what unlawful procurement is and what is prohibited and that requiring a licensed California talent agent to procure work is an infringement to interstate commerce.
