Tang Media Partners has rebranded as Global Road Entertainment.
The content studio encompasses Open Road Films, IM Global and IM Global Television, and has the goal of creating an integrated space to develop, finance, produce, market, broker sales of third-party films and distribute movies and television in both the U.S. and China.
"I wanted to build another worldwide content company," recently instated chairman and CEO Rob Friedman, former co-chair of the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, told The Hollywood Reporter in August.
“With all divisions working under the same name we can now not only provide a focus to the marketplace, but also operate as one forward-facing brand that engages the creative community and all distribution platforms both existing and future,” Friedman added in a statement that went along with Monday's announcement.
