Tassler named showman of year by ICG

Hollywood publicists will honor CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler with their television showman of the year award.

The award will be presented at the ICG 44th Annual Publicists Awards Luncheon, set for Feb. 7 at the Beverly Hilton.

"Nina Tassler has played a role in developing two of the most successful series in modern television history -- 'ER' and 'CSI,' " said Henri Bollinger, awards committee chairman for the ICG Publicists. "Thanks in large part to her creative and promotional instincts, CBS is America's most-watched network with a deep and diverse roster of popular and successful series."

Under Tassler, CBS also has developed other successful series including "Without a Trace," "Cold Case" and "The New Adventures of Old Christine."

Previous honorees for the television showmanship award include CBS Corp. chairman Leslie Moonves, Comcast Entertainment Group CEO Ted Harbert and producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
