Kanye West claims he had prior approval from Swift on controversial lyrics from his hit song, and video uploaded to Snapchat by his wife appears to back that up.
Kim Kardashian West took to Snapchat on Sunday to defend her husband, Kanye West, in his ongoing feud with Taylor Swift, proving that the "Blank Space" singer had lied about not approving controversial lyrics in the song "Famous."
Swift had previously intimated that she did not approve the lyrics "For all my Southside niggas that know me best / I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that bitch famous," and called them "misogynistic."
But in the series of videos, West is seen to recite out loud some of the lyrics to the song to Swift over the phone. Swift is then heard thanking West and described the lyric of them having sex as a "compliment."
However, the video doesn't show West reading out the line "I made that bitch famous," so it is unclear whether Swift knew about it or approved that particular lyric.

Swift took to Twitter later on Sunday to defend herself. Reiterating that West never told her about the "that bitch" line, a clearly angry Swift said that she wanted to like the song and wanted to be supportive but couldn't approve a song she had never heard. She described the release of the Snapchat video as a "character assassination."
