Taylor Swift Releases First Single Off Upcoming Album
Her forthcoming sixth album, 'Reputation,' is due Nov. 10.
After three teasers, an album cover reveal and countless snake emojis, the wait is finally over: Taylor Swift has officially dropped her new single, "Look What You Made Me Do."
As promised, the singer released her fresh tune promptly at midnight Friday on iTunes, kicking off the weekend with quite the jam.
While Swift has certainly been known for her surprises, she was very clear about the arrival of her newest song. The superstar initially set the internet ablaze on Aug. 18 when she wiped all of her social media clean, following it up with an eerie 10-second video of a snake's tail that sparked talk of a new song or even an album — and triggered countless snake emojis. She shared two more snake-related videos before delivering the official news Wednesday, and the Taylor mania hasn't stopped since.
"Look What You Made Me Do" is the first single from Swift's forthcoming sixth album, Reputation, which will be released Nov. 10 and is the follow-up to 2014's album of the year winner, 1989. Take a listen (or 100) to "Look What You Made Me Do" below.
