Netflix Nabs Taylor Swift's Reputation Tour Concert Film

The special, a trailer for which dropped on Thursday, will start streaming on New Year's Eve.

Are you ready for it? Taylor Swift on Thursday announced that her Reputation stadium tour concert film will be released exclusively on Netflix on New Year's Eve.

The special will give fans front-row seats to the singer's last U.S. tour stop in Arlington, Texas. Swift is shown performing a number of her hit songs throughout the film, which also includes pyro, fireworks and multiple stages.

A trailer (see above), which bowed Thursday, opens with the intro-clip from the tour, which played every night before Swift took the stage. Black-and-white footage shows highlights from Swift's career, including shots from her Speak Now world tour in 2011 and clips of her onstage during her most recent tour. "When she fell, she fell apart," Swift narrates as she quotes from her poem "Why She Disappeared." "When she finally rose, she rose slowly."

Brief clips from songs featured on her 2017 album Reputation play as the voiceover carries on. "She heard echoes of new words," Swift continues. "Without your past, you could never have arrived here."

Swift's song "…Ready for It" begins to play as clips from the tour follow. The singer is seen dancing to choreographed routines with backup dancers, talking to the crowd, sitting at a piano, performing "Shake It Off" with the tour's opening acts Camila Cabello and Charlie XCX and belting out some of her old and new songs.

"I finally get to show you something we’ve been working on for a while... the trailer for the Reputation Stadium Tour!" Swift wrote in an Instagram post, which was accompanied by the trailer. "You made this tour so insanely fun for all of us on stage, and I’m really excited that we will have this memento of the memories we all made together this year."

The Reputation stadium tour earned $345.7 million and made 53 stops around the world.

The film will be available to stream Dec. 31 at 12:01 a.m. PT on Netflix.
