E-tailer Nasty Gal claimed Taylor Swift's Balmain look was one of their own.

All eyes were on a radiant Taylor Swift at Sunday's Billboard Music Awards as she premiered her long-awaited “Bad Blood” music video and snagged eight awards. But while it was quickly reported that Balmain was the label behind her outfit, a Charlie’s Angels-inspired white jumpsuit, e-tailer Nasty Gal posted on Instagram claiming responsibility for the look.

The post in question, which has since been taken down, claimed that Swift had donned a Nasty Gal original — the Frisco Inferno jumpsuit ($78), which bears more than a passing resemblance to the Balmain look. Fans and followers quickly began commenting and questioning the claim. In fact, the singer's Balmain one-piece was part of a push by the label, which announced an H&M collaboration the same night and which was also worn by Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Lily Aldridge and Chrissy Teigen.

While Nasty Gal is known for fast-fashion, this snafu only served to call attention to the fact some of their pieces are outright copies. The superstar’s stylist Joseph Cassell has declined to comment. Our prediction? Someone at the retailer is in quite a bit of hot water.
