TBS orders 90 'Are We There Yet?' episodes
Sitcom averaged 2.8 million viewers since June premiereTBS has ordered 90 additional episodes of its freshman sitcom "Are We There Yet?"
The scripted comedy cable network will bring back the Ice Cube and Matt Alvarez-produced series after its initial 10-episode run this summer.
The massive reorder was triggered as part of the show's increasingly common dealmaking structure, a system pioneered by Tyler Perry and Debmar Mercury's comedies on the network.
" 'Are We There Yet?' attracts a young, diverse audience, making it an especially good fit for our Wednesday night slate of original sitcoms," said Michael Wright, head of programming at TBS.
Since its June 2 premiere, the comedy has averaged 2.8 million viewers and 1.5 million adults 18-49.
