Technicolor Teams Sound Recording Re-Mixers Scott Millan and Greg P. Russell
The Oscar winning duo will take on theatrical re-recording at the company's new Paramount Lot facility.
Technicolor is welcoming four-time Oscar winning sound re-recording mixer Scott Millan, whose upcoming work includes Captain America: The First Avenger; and 14-time Academy Award nominated re-recording mixer Greg P. Russell, whose work includes Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
As a team, the pair will handle theatrical re-recording responsibilities at Technicolor’s new facility on the Paramount lot. They will start after Labor Day.
Millan won Oscars for The Bourne Ultimatum, Ray, Gladiator and Apollo 13. He earned additional nominations for Salt, Road to Perdition, Braveheart and Schindler’s List.
Russell earned Academy Award nominations on a number of Bay-directed movies including the first two Transformers films, Pearl Harbor and Armageddon. He also earned nominations for films including Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, and The Patriot.
In related news, Technicolor is relocating its broadcast sound operation at its current Sunset Gower Studios' location to Paramount. It is expected to be up and running at the new site in August.
