Ted Cruz Tweets 'Fat Bastard' Clip at Donald Trump
On the eve of the Nevada GOP caucuses, Cruz compares his Republican rival to the 'Austin Powers' villain.
Ted Cruz is firing back at Donald Trump.
On the eve of the Nevada GOP caucuses, the Republican rivals have continued their war of words.
During a campaign rally in Sparks, Nev. on Tuesday, Trump called the Texas senator "the single biggest liar I have ever dealt with" and a baby.
"I've met much tougher people than Ted Cruz," the GOP frontrunner told his supporters. "He is like a baby compared to some of the people I have to deal with. He is like a little baby: soft, weak, little baby by comparison."
The night prior, Trump called Cruz "sick" over his campaign tactics during a rally, saying, "There's something wrong with this guy."
On Tuesday night, Cruz took his turn to take a shot at Trump by likening him to the character Fat Bastard, a villain from the Austin Powers films.
Cruz tweeted at Trump: "showing class & grace, calls me a "soft weak little baby." Hope he doesn't try to eat me!" The post included a clip from Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, where Fat Bastard (played by Mike Myers) threatens to eat Mini-Me, whom he calls a baby and tells him, "Get in my belly!"
Earlier on Tuesday, Trump called Cruz "disloyal" on Twitter for the firing of his communications director Rick Tyler, and he again took a shot at Cruz near the end of the caucuses on Tuesday night.

With Trump's former rival Jeb Bush now out of the race, it appears that the mogul has taken aim at Cruz. As for GOP candidate Marco Rubio, Trump also said on Tuesday: "I've been very nice to Rubio, because he hasn't hit me. When he does, you will see what happens."
