Ted Gold joins Parkes/MacDonald

Veteran network development exec named head of TV

Ted Gold has been tapped to join Parkes/MacDonald Productions as head of television, the company announced Monday.

The veteran network development executive will oversee all television development and production for the company, which has a first-look deal with NBC Universal. The company, which has produced films such as "Men in Black," "The Ring" and "Gladiator," will produce content across all genres for NBC and its cable networks.

Gold was recently head of television development at Deuce Three Productions and exec producer of the short-lived CBS drama "Three Rivers," which starred Alex O'Loughlin.
