Telemundo promotes Adriana Ibanez

Will oversee programming strategy, scheduling, acquisitions

MEXICO CITY -- NBC Universal's Spanish-language network Telemundo has upped Adriana Ibanez to executive vp programming.

Ibanez will oversee programming strategy, scheduling and film acquisitions for network operations stateside. Her international responsibilities include development and strategy for the Telemundo Cable Network in Latin America, and content aired on Televisa's Canal 9, Telemundo's programming partner in Mexico.

Ibanez will report to Telemundo president Don Browne, whom she reported to in her previous post as senior vp programming. Ibanez played a key role in boosting primetime growth and she designed "Cine Millonario," Telemundo's weekend movie slot.
