Tellenbach takes Premiere board position

Was the managing director in 2000

COLOGNE, Germany -- Markus Tellenbach has been named the new supervisory board chairman at German pay TV group Premiere.

Tellenbach, who was briefly managing director of Premiere back in 2000, has had a seat on the company's supervisory board since last summer.

He takes over from Richard Roy, who will remain on as deputy chairman of the board.

Insiders suggest Tellenbach may be being groomed to take over from Premiere CEO Mark Williams after Williams completes his restructuring of the company.
