Temple Street to receive Banff award

TV fest also honoring Panavision, 'Cove's' Louie Psihoyos

TORONTO -- Canadian indie producer Temple Street Productions ("Being Erica") is to receive the innovative producer award at the Banff World Television Festival later this month, organizers said Monday.

Banff is also to give the outstanding technical achievement award to Panavision, and the green grand prize to Louie Psihoyos, director of "The Cove," the Oscar-winning film about Japanese dolphin hunting.

Toronto-based Temple Street and BBC Worldwide have a first-look deal to partner on TV series development, production and distribution.

The Banff World Television Festival is set to run from June 13 to 16 in the Canadian Rockies.
