Terry Christensen denied new trial

Sentencing in Pellicano case scheduled for November

A Los Angeles federal court judge on Monday denied entertainment lawyer Terry Christensen's bid for a new trial.

Christensen, whose clients include former MGM owner and billionaire Kirk Kerkorian, claimed a juror was improperly removed during deliberations because he disagreed with his fellow jurors. Christensen and former celebrity sleuth Anthony Pellicano were found guilty in August of illegally wiretapping Kerkorian's ex-wife.

He is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 17. Pellicano, who was previously convicted of wiretapping, is set to be sentenced Nov. 12.
