TF1 Gallops at 'Mike The Knight' Series

French broadcaster to acquire kids animated series from Nelvana and HIT Entertainment.

TORONTO – French broadcaster TF1 is near to acquiring Mike the Knight from Canadian cartoon producer Nelvana Studio and Hit Entertainment.

Distributor Nelvana Enterprises is finalizing an agreement with TF1 for the CGI-animated series for preschoolers currently in production. Mike the Knight, comprising 26 half-hours, is about a young boy surrounded by dragons and determined to be a great and noble knight.

The series was created by Alexander Bar (Lunar Jim) and is penned by Marc Seal, head writer on Bob the Builder. Mike the Knight has already been picked up by Canadian broadcaster Treehouse. Nelvana Enterprises has distribution rights in Latin America, the U.S. and France, while HIT Entertainment holds the rights in all other territories worldwide.
