TF1, Spyglass wake up to 'Klopp' remake


PARIS -- Gallic sales and distribution company TF1 International and Spyglass Entertainment have signed a deal to remake French narcoleptic comedy "The Secret Adventures of Gustave Klopp" for the U.S., the companies said Thursday.

The original film, called "Narco" in France, stars Guillaume Canet as a victim of narcolepsy, whose dreams become reality as he embarks on an unforgettable adventure.

Directed by Tristan Aurouet and Gilles Lellouche and produced by Alain Attal's Les Productions du Tresor, the movie sold more than half a million tickets when it was released in the territory in 2004. TF1 International has sold the original film in more than 20 countries.
