THR editor Elizabeth Guider steps down

Veteran journalist will continue to contribute

The Hollywood Reporter editor Elizabeth Guider is stepping down after three years at the helm of the newsroom.

Guider cited personal family issues which take her regularly out of state and the desire to finish a book as reasons for her decision.

During her tenure, THR launched a daily New York edition, underwent a redesign of the paper, and introduced a weekly news analysis feature and several opinion columns.  Guider will continue to freelance for the paper on television and other topics.

"It has been an honor and a pleasure to lead The Hollywood Reporter's newsroom during such interesting, if challenging, times," Guider said. "I wish our new owners and managers great success with their plans to take the brand to new heights and to a broadened readership."

"We are grateful to Elizabeth for her leadership, professionalism and many contributions and look forward to her continued presence down the road," THR editorial director Janice Min said.
