THR to honor David Eun

AOL exec named 2010 Digital Power Player

AOL Media & Studios president David Eun will be awarded The Hollywood Reporter's Digital Power Player at a June 7 reception in Manhattan.

Eun, who joined AOL from Google earlier this year, will participate in a keynote Q&A at the invitation-only event, scheduled to coincide with Internet Week New York. Set for 6:30 p.m. at Waldorf Astoria Hotel, the Digital Power 50 reception is timed to the third annual special issue honoring 50 executives distinguishing themselves at the intersection of media and technology.

AOL hired Eun in March to oversee over 100 of its websites as well as the company's studios in New York and Los Angeles. In addition to his time at Google, where he served as vice president of strategic partnerships, Eun has worked at NBC, Time Warner and Bain & Co.

Eun is the second recipient of the Digital Power Player award, which was given last year to News Corp. chief digital officer Jon Miller.
