Three get clearance to helm net pilots

"Friday Night Lights" director/ executive producer Jeff Reiner is set to direct NBC's drama pilot "Trauma," lifting the contingency off the project.

In other pilot-director signings, Simon West has been tapped for Fox's comic book adaptation "Human Target," and "House" director/co-exec producer Deran Sarafian has signed on for Fox's reincarnation project.

"Trauma," from UMS and Peter Berg's Film 44, is an emergency medical procedural set in the field.

In addition to his duties on "FNL," Reiner directed the two-hour pilot for Sci Fi Channel's "Caprica."

"Target," from WBTV, DC Comics and McG's Wonderland, is based on the DC Comics title and centers on a security freelancer who assumes the identities of those in danger, becoming the "human target" for his clients.

The CAA-repped West most recently directed the Sci Fi pilot "Revolution."

The reincarnation project, from WBTV, revolves around investigators who solve mysteries in their clients' previous lives to resolve problems in the present.

Sarafian, repped by CAA, made his pilot debut with Fox's "K-Ville," which went to series. (partialdiff)
