BRUSSELS -- Cannes screenplay winner "Lorna's Silence" by the Dardenne brothers, "Delta" by Hungarian director Kornel Mundruczo and Czech movie "Citizen Havel" were shortlisted Thursday by the European Parliament for its annual film award, the Lux Prize.

The Lux Prize, which aims to single out a film that illustrates European values and the diversity of cultures, will be awarded Oct. 22 at the parliament's plenary session in Strasbourg, France. The jury consists of the 785 Euro MPs.
