Three shows add characters

Actors join 'Eureka,' 'Big Love,' 'Dexter' in recurring roles

Ever Carradine has joined Sci Fi Channel's "Eureka" in a recurring role.

In other recurring role news, Mark L. Young will appear on HBO's polygamy drama "Big Love," and Valerie Cruz is joining Showtime's "Dexter."

Carradine will play Lexi, the free-spirited sister of Sheriff Carter (Colin Ferguson), on the UMS-produced "Eureka." She will appear in at least four of eight episodes of the upcoming summer season, which debuts July 29. Carradine most recently appeared on ABC's "Women's Murder Club."

On "Big Love," Young will play a troubled kid who gets thrown out of the Juniper Creek compound for kissing a girl earmarked for an elder. Young, repped by Kohner and Precision, next appears in Lionsgate's "The Lucky Ones" and Summit's "Untitled Teen Sex Comedy."

In "Dexter," Cruz will play the wife of Assistant District Attorney Miguel Prado (the recently cast Jimmy Smits). Cruz, repped by Innovative and John Carrabino Management, next appears in the film "La Linea."
