Three tapped for roles at Ventanazul
Salma Hayek's Ventanazul film label has named Annie Stewart, Lumumba Mosquera and Juan Davila to key senior management positions. Stewart, formerly director Mike Figgis' producing partner whose credits include "Leaving Las Vegas" and "Cold Creek Manor," has been named vp development; Mosquera will head the company's legal and business affairs; and Davila will be director of development. Stewart will be charged with bringing two to four film projects to market per year under the Ventanazul film label, with MGM handling worldwide marketing and distribution. Davila, a former exec at A&E Television Networks and a manager who repped Hispanic writers, actors and filmmakers, will identify and develop feature film projects with Hispanic elements that have worldwide appeal. Mosquera, who will negotiate development and production contracts and other legal agreements on behalf of Ventanazul, comes from the Weinstein Co., where he served as senior vp business affairs at the company's Dimension Films division.
