THR's Osborne to greet Oscar attendees

Sunday will mark his fourth time in the role

Hollywood Reporter columnist Robert Osborne will greet nominees and presenters on the red carpet Sunday as they arrive at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood for the 81st Annual Academy Awards. It will be his fourth stint welcoming guests to the Oscars.

Osborne is the primetime host of Turner Classic Movies and also hosts Robert Osborne's Classic Film Festival in Athens, Ga.

A frequent host of Academy events in New York and Los Angeles as well, he is the author the Academy's new book, "80 Years of the Oscar," the official history of the Academy Awards.

"Robert is the king of Oscar's red carpet," Academy president Sid Ganis said. "He adds even more excitement and glamour as he welcomes our guests. He's superb!"
