Tilda Swinton to Become Mentor at Doha's Qumra Film Event
Andrey Zvyagintsev and Apichatpong Weerasethakul are also among the list of names set to mentor emerging filmmakers in Qatar next month.
Tilda Swinton is the latest name to be added to the lineup heading to the Qumra film event in the Qatari capital of Doha next month.
The Oscar-winning actress is set to join the Qumra Masters program, aimed at mentoring emerging filmmakers from around the world through sessions, one-on-one meetings and masterclasses.
Other masters at this year's event include current Oscar-nominee Andrey Zvyagintsev, plus Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Bennett Miller, Gianfranco Rosi and Sandy Powell.
Qumra, which focuses on first- and second-time filmmakers, will welcome talent linked to 34 projects from 25 countries that are currently in development and postproduction stages.
The fourth edition of the event, hosted by the Doha Film Institute, will be held March 9-14.
