Deep Impact: Tandem 10th Anniversary

1999 -- Rola Bauer and Tim Halkin launch Tandem with a six-title deal with German channel Pro7 that includes adventure series "Relic Hunter" and sci-fi miniseries "Dune."

2000 -- Signs international distribution deal with Lionsgate.

2001 -- Takes on distribution of Discovery Channel's documentary "When Dinosaurs Roamed America." Begins developing telefilm "Superfire," a co-production with ABC, Lionsgate and Stephanie Germain Prods.

2002 -- Takes on distribution of James Cameron's "Expedition Bismark."

2004 -- Jonas Bauer, previously head of international production at the DeAngelis Group, joins Tandem as an affiliate producer. Its "Ring of the Nibelungs" is the
No. 1 telefilm of the year in Germany, drawing 7.9 million and 7.2 million viewers over two nights on Sat.1.

2005 -- Bauer and Halkin receive Emmy nominations for "Dragons -- A Fantasy Made Real." Tandem begins co-production on the Robert Ludlum adaptation "Covert One: The Hades Factor."

2006 -- Signs co-finance/distribution deal with Mandalay Television for the Nora Roberts franchise.

2007 -- Jonas Bauer becomes a partner in Tandem; signs international TV distribution deal with Starz Media. Inks co-production/distribution deals for the Scott Free/John Calley/TNT production "The Company" and Syfy's "Painkiller Jane."

2009 -- Begins production on $40 million, eight-hour epic "The Pillars of the Earth" starring Ian McShane, Matthew Macfadyen, Rufus Sewell and Donald Sutherland. Closes co-production/distribution deal with Stan Brooks for first two Patricia Cornwell telefilms. Malisa Scott, former head of Sony Home Entertainment Germany, joins management team as partner and COO.
