Universal bought the pitch from 'Sisters' writer Paula Pell.

Universal has bought the comedy pitch Do Nothing Bitches, with Tina Fey and MMA fighter-turned-actress Ronda Rousey attached to star.

The pitch comes from Paula Pell, who wrote the script for the comedy Sisters, which Universal released on Dec. 18. The film, which stars Fey and Amy Poehler, has earned $85.5 million worldwide to date.

The logline is being kept secret for now, but "Do Nothing Bitches" has become one of Rousey's catch phrases. “I have this one term for the kind of woman that my mother raised me to not be. And I call it a 'do-nothing bitch,' ” Rousey said in an episode of a UFC vlog.

Fey will produce the comedy under her Little Stranger Productions banner.  Pell will also produce and Eric Gurian of Little Stranger will executive produce. Erik Baiers is overseeing for Universal.

Fey's other recent projects include 2014’s This Is Where I Leave You, and up next she’ll be seen in Paramount’s Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, playing a wartime journalist. She is repped by WME and 3 Arts.

Rousey has been further pursuing an acting career after roles in The Expendables 3, Furious 7 and Entourage.  She will star in Road House, directed by Nick Cassavetes, that will shoot for MGM this spring, and her biopic My Fight/Your Fight is being developed at Paramount with Mark Bomback on board to write. She is repped by WME.
