Todd Vradenburg to be honored at ShowEast

Will Rogers foundation's leader to receive humanitarian nod

Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation executive director Todd Vradenburg will be honored with the Salah M. Hassanein Humanitarian Award at ShowEast 2010.

Vradenburg will be feted Oct. 14 during an awards gala to close the annual exhibition confab. ShowEast begins Oct. 11 at the Orlando World Center Marriott.

"Todd's leadership and dedication to humanitarian and charitable organizations over the years has put him in good stead to make significant strides with the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation," ShowEast managing director Robert Sunshine said.

Vradenburg oversees both of the organization's primary programs, including the Will Rogers Institute -- a national health charity known for its annual fundraising in movie theaters -- and the Pioneers Assistance Fund, a social-services division providing financial assistance and counseling to members of the motion picture entertainment industry.

Vradenburg joined the Will Rogers Memorial Fund in 1997 and the organization through a merger with the Foundation of Motion Picture Pioneers in 2002.

The Hassanein award honors an industry executive who "has distinguished him or herself in the philanthropic community."
