Tom Hanks was trying to get a lost ID back to a student.

The two-time Oscar winner was just trying to give Lauren her property back.

Tom Hanks is a nice guy.

On Tuesday morning, the two-time Oscar winner tweeted that he found a woman's Fordham University student ID while he was in the park.

Hanks posted a picture of the ID to his more than 10 million followers with a message to the owner, Lauren, saying if she wants it back, he will make sure that happens.

A friend of the woman responded to the tweet in an effort to help out the star of the upcoming Steven Spielberg film Bridge of Spies.

Lauren was on Good Morning America on Wednesday and said she lost the ID while jogging in the park. She has yet to get the ID back from Hanks.

"Tom, I'm here!" said Lauren.
