Universal Brand Development and Gen Art have partnered to launch a Gen Art x Jurassic Park 25th limited-edition apparel collection inspired by the film’s 25th anniversary and in advance of the June 22 release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The line of menswear, womenswear and unisex styles sporting anniversary logo patches and in colors and motifs inspired by the film (think dresses and jumpsuits with dinosaur prints and jungle-foliage-patterned shirts) was designed by L.A.-based designer Phoebe Dahl, creative director of Gen Art. Lewis Hamilton Named Tommy Hilfiger Global Ambassador [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]

British Formula One racing champ Lewis Hamilton (seated front-row at Tommy Hilfiger’s Formula One-themed fashion show on Feb. 25 during Milan Fashion Week) has been named global menswear ambassador for the brand and will star in spring 2018 ad campaigns. “I have always admired Lewis’ incredible endurance during the race, as well as his unique style off the track, which speaks to the new generation of Tommy Guys,” said Hilfiger. Hilfiger has a history with Formula One, including a recent multiyear agreement to be the official apparel partner for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport, and it was the first nonautomotive brand to sponsor and create uniforms for Ferrari’s Formula One team in 1998.

Of the nine designers selected as finalists for the fifth edition of the LVMH Prize, two are American: the bicoastal mens- and womenswear brand Eckhaus Latta and the New York-based, gender-free fashion label Matthew Adams Dolan. On Friday, June 6, the group will present their work to the LVMH Prize jury at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris to determine the ultimate winner.

Cult Footwear Brand Allbirds Launches Eucalyptus-Based Shoe Line [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]

San Francisco-based, direct-to-consumer footwear brand Allbirds — worn by everyone from Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves to Ryan Gosling and Emma Watson — has made its name with sneakers with uppers crafted from fine merino wool from the same Italian mill that supplies to luxury brands such as Tom Ford and Giorgio Armani. Now the company has launched a line called Tree, with shoes created from a textile derived from eucalyptus-tree pulp. The company also announced that it has now sold more than 1 million shoes since launching in March 2016.
