Tony Awards 2015: 'An American in Paris' Cast Performs "S Wonderful" and "I Got Rhythm" (Video)

The production, which is based on the 1951 musical film, earned 12 nominations.

Ballet came to the 2015 Tony Awards in full force on Sunday thanks to a performance from An American in Paris.

Leanne Cope, Robert Fairchild, Brandon Uranowitz, Max von Essen and the cast performed a medley of “An American in Paris (pas de deux),” “S Wonderful” and “I Got Rhythm,” from the Christopher Wheeldon-directed show, and nabbed 12 nominations.

The performance began with the company pulling a massive French flag onto the stage. “An American in Paris (pas de deux)" featured the stars dancing in front of a backdrop of the Eiffel tower. 

Hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming, the Broadway-lauding awards show also included a 10th-anniversary celebration of Jersey Boys as well as performances by the casts of Gigi, Finding Neverland, On the Twentieth Century, Something Rotten!, The Visit, It Shoulda Been You, The King and I, Fun Home and On the Town.

The broadcast — presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing — aired live on CBS from Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
