Tony Awards 2015: Alan Cumming and Kristin Chenoweth Serenade Harvey Weinstein in Monologue (Video)
Weinstein's 'Finding Neverland' failed to land a Tony nom.
Harvey Weinstein may not be up for any Tonys, but he got some love during the ceremony's opening monologue.
Co-hosts Alan Cumming and Kristin Chenoweth gave a shout-out to Weinstein, producer of Finding Neverland, which failed to land a Tony nomination. They sang him "Smile," adding that he'd feel better if he would just "count your over a million dollar box-office receipts for the last three months."
Finding Neverland stars Matthew Morrison as Peter Pan playwright J.M. Barrie. The co-hosts managed to pitch themselves for film work to the musical's producer.
"We're both available for movies," sang Chenoweth, with Cumming chiming in, "at very reasonable rates."
The co-hosts kicked off with an opening monologue with a nod to two of their iconic works — "Willkommen" from Cabaret and "Popular" from Wicked.
"This is the last time I'll ever sing this song," sang Cumming, with Chenoweth adding, "Until a revival paycheck comes along."
