Tony Scott's Death Prompts Deep Hollywood Mourning

Immediately after news of the director's apparent suicide hit the web, the industry began an outpouring of grief and remembrance.
The death of famed director Tony Scott, who authorities said jumped off Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro, set off an instant emotional outpouring from a stunned Hollywood community.
The helmer of such blockbusters as Top Gun, True Romance, Enemy of the State, and The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3, was also, with his brother Ridley Scott, a prolific producer, with his various projects and partnerships spanning the industry.
From fellow directors, actors, students and just admirers, the statements and tweets reveal a deep sadness; THR will continue to update as more come in.
