The famed stylist to Madonna has scored her first Tony nomination — and she's got the perfect fashion designer dressing her Sunday night.

Arianne Phillips — Oscar-nominated costume designer (Walk the Line and W.E.) and stylist to Madonna and formerly Lenny Kravitz — is headed to Sunday's Tony Awards in New York, where she's nominated for her work in the Broadway revival of the musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch, starring Neil Patrick Harris.

Now, what does a famous costume designer and stylist wear to a major awards show? In Phillips' case, it's something close to her heart — a three-quarter-length or "tea length" gown by Ungaro's Fausto Puglisi, who designed it specifically for her. And here's synchronicity for you: She is styling Ungaro's resort/cruise presentation in New York on June 9, and currently helping Puglisi conceptualize his spring 2015 collection as well. So it makes sense that he'd whip her up a cool Tonys look.

Given Puglisi's arch stylized aesthetic, she will no doubt be the most fashion-forward woman at the Tonys. (And we expect Madonna will be watching!) Last month, Phillips and L.A. stylist B. Akerlund both hosted a party for Ungaro and Puglisi at Chateau Marmont, which was attended by Heidi Klum, Gwen Stefani and stylist Elizabeth Stewart, among others — with Phillips and Akerlund both decked out in Ungaro designs.
