The French helmer's next horror feature follows her 2016 breakout flesh-eating movie.

Neon has acquired the North American rights to Raw director Julia Ducournau's next feature, Titane.

The film’s plot is being kept under wraps and casting is yet to be announced. The French director in 2016 made headlines when her cannibal horror film Raw had ambulances called to a midnight screening at the Toronto Film Festival after multiple audience members passed out while viewing graphic flesh-eating scenes.

"Raw was one of the most earth-shattering debut films in recent memory and we’ve been waiting for Julia’s next film ever since," Neon said in a statement. Titane is written and directed by Ducournau and produced by Jean-Christophe Reymond of Kazak Productions.

Neon also acquired another French film this year as it partnered with Hulu to take the North American rights to Celine Sciamma’s period drama Portrait of a Lady on Fire following its world premiere in Cannes, where it won best screenplay.

Ducournau's short film Junior won the Petit Rail d'Or at Cannes in 2011. And Raw won the FIPRESCI prize at Cannes in 2016.

The deal for Titane was negotiated by Neon’s Jeff Deutchman with Eva Diederix from Wild Bunch International and CAA Media Finance.
