Stars turned out for the premiere of ‘Faster’ and rocked the night away at the American Music Awards.

Los Angeles, Nov. 22

It’s a throwback to the ‘70s; It’s real broken glass,” Faster producer Robert Teitel said at the film’s Grauman’s premiere. On a black (not red) carpet, star Dwayne Johnson rolled up behind the wheel of the Chevelle SS he drives as an ex-con hunting his brother’s killers. Johnson was less threatening later at SoHo House, where he frequently got up to greet guests inside the club’s private room. “It’s an action film with heart and emotion,”he said.                        

Saban Free Clinic Dinner
Beverly Hills, Nov. 22

Honoree Robert Greenblatt helped the Saban Free Clinic raise a record $1.4 million at the nonprofit’s annual gala at the Beverly Hilton. “How many things in our country just open their doors and give away their services?” asked Greenblatt, referring to the clinic’s four no-charge healthcare sites, which have 90,000 patient visits a year. On the for-profit side of his life, what has struck the incoming NBC entertainment chief is “the number of balls that have to stay in the air at a broadcast network.” He added that he’s comfortable with the Comcast culture. “It’s quite humanistic,” he said. “They don’t get rattled by all the chaos.”
