Andreja Pejic, the first transgender model to land a spread in Vogue, has scored her first fashion magazine cover as a female. The Aussie model, 24, who underwent gender reassignment surgery in 2014, graces the March cover of Marie Claire Spain, shot by Pablo Zamora.

Pejic, who was an androgynous model before her surgery, has spoken openly about her transition, which has been documented in a yet-to-be-released film. She's also walked men's and women's runways for the likes of Jeremy Scott, Marc Jacobs, Rick Owens and Thom Browne. In 2012, Pejic appeared on the cover of Elle Serbia as a male.

Last year, Pejic inked a deal with Make Up For Ever, becoming the first openly transgender model to sign a contract with a cosmetics company.
