Tribeca to screen six shortlisted Oscar docs

'The Cove,' 'Food, Inc.' and 'Living in Emergency' on list

Tribeca Cinemas in New York will present a two-day series "Docs on the Shortlist," featuring six of the 15 films that have been shortlisted for the best documentary feature Oscar, on Jan. 8 and 9.

Hosted by the Tribeca Film Institute's Gucci Tribeca Documentary Fund, which offers finishing funds to documentaries with social relevance, the series will include "The Cove," "Food, Inc.," "Living in Emergency," "Soundtrack for a Revolution," "Under Our Skin" and "Which Way Home."

"We are always looking for ways Tribeca can further support our filmmakers and this series highlights our commitment to documentary film," Tribeca Enterprise's Nancy Schafer said. "We are looking forward to bringing some of the documentaries the Academy has recognized to our neighborhood."

Films will screen at the Tribeca Cinemas at 54 Varick Street.
