Tripplehorn, Davidtz tackle 'Creatures'

Jeanne Tripplehorn and Embeth Davidtz have joined Kate Beckinsale and the all-star cast of "Winged Creatures," being directed by Rowan Woods.

The story follows the witnesses to a brutal murder suicide in a fast food restaurant as they cope with the aftermath of the incident and how they affect the people who help them along the way.

Forest Whitaker, Dakota Fanning, Guy Pearce and Jackie Earle Haley already have been cast.

Tripplehorn is playing Fanning's mother, trying to help her daughter recover from the incident.

Davidtz is a wife suffering from migraines who places her husband's needs above hers.

Robert Salerno is producing the indie drama, in which Beckinsale was a driving force; her longtime attachment helped secure financing for the pic.

Tripplehorn, repped by Gersh and Brillstein-Grey, recently wrapped the second season of HBO's acclaimed series "Big Love."

Davidtz recently wrapped New Line's "Fracture," with Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling, and most recently appeared in "Junebug," opposite Amy Adams. She is repped by UTA.
