He was named "Kia's One to Watch" at the show.

New alternative artist Troye Sivan was named "Kia's One to Watch" at Sunday's Billboard Music Awards. The program was instituted by Kia, which is the official automotive partner of the BBMAs, to highlight and support emerging artists.

Sivan wowed with the performance of his song "Youth." He is only the second artist to receive the distinction; the inaugural honoree was Tori Kelly at last year's award show.

The kudocast is being hosted by Ciara and Ludacris, and includes performances from Rihanna, Madonna and Demi Lovato.
