Trump Says He Would Beat Oprah in 2020, But Doesn't Think She Will Run

The president added that an Oprah Winfrey campaign would "be a lot of fun."

President Donald Trump said he would beat Oprah Winfrey in a presidential contest, but added, "I don't think she's going to run."

Trump spoke Tuesday at the White House as he met with lawmakers on immigration. "Oprah would be a lot of fun," Trump said, but added he knows her well and doesn't think she'll run.

The president also said that he appeared on one of her final shows and knows her "very well."

Winfrey gave an impassioned speech Sunday night at the Golden Globes, which has sparked talk about whether she might run for president.

On Tuesday morning, her close friend Gayle King said Winfrey is "intrigued" by the idea of running, but that her position at the moment hasn't changed. This summer, Winfrey denied she planned to run.
