Police had to wait for Secret Service to give them the president's route — and perhaps an alternate route — before any action could be taken.

Donald Trump will visit California for the first time on Tuesday since being elected president, and now Los Angeles motorists know where to avoid.

The following streets will be closed until 1 p.m on Wednesday: Figueroa Street between 8th Street and 6th Street, Wilshire Boulevard between Flower Street and Beaudry Avenue and 7th Street between Flower Street and Bixel Street, police announced Tuesday afternoon.

Police had to wait for Secret Service to give them the president's route — and perhaps an alternate route — before any action could be taken.

Traditionally during the Obama presidency, street closers for an L.A. visit would had been announced with greater notice to give motorists ample time for planning.

On Monday night, LAPD said over social media that the department was expecting protests over Trump's visit. The exact location of all demonstrations is unclear.

As of 7 a.m. ET, Trump was on his way from Washington, D.C., to San Diego to look at border wall models, he announced via Twitter.

The president is slated to attend a private fundraiser at an undisclosed location on Tuesday night. There had been some speculation that it would be held in Beverly Hills, but police told THR as of Monday that was not the case, and there were no street closures to announce.
