Turner, Warner unveil new English channel

WB to offer U.S. TV programs and movies

NEW DELHI -- Turner International India on Thursday announced the launch of WB, a new English-language channel created in partnership with Warner Bros. Entertainment.

Promoted with the tagline "Now That's Hollywood!" WB will lanch March 15 and offer content from Warner Bros. International Television Distribution including "The Drew Carey Show" and "Blade" and movies including "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

WB will feature various programming segments such as WB Platinum to showcase channel premieres, WB Nitro (action movies), WB Triple Play and WB Cinematheque (classics) and WB Premieres (comedy and drama series).

The channel will complement Turner's existing HBO channel in India.
