TV Academy Signs With Jim Yeager for All Emmy PR

The Warner Bros. vet's Breakwhitelight firm had previously handled corporate communications for the Academy.

The Television Academy is upping its publicity commitment with Jim Yeager, retaining his public relations firm for all Academy efforts moving forward.

Breakwhitelight will support the Emmys, the Hall of Fame, the Television Academy Honors, Emmy magazine and events for its more than 20,000 members.

"The Breakwhitelight team has provided valuable insight, working with us to develop strategic communications programs that have served us well with both our membership and press," said Maury McIntyre, president and COO of the Television Academy.

Yeager, a veteran of both Universal Studios and Warner Bros., first signed with the TV Academy two years ago to focus on corporate communications strategies. Last year, he handled the rollout of the Emmys' first year of online voting and the many rule changes.

PMK*BNC concluded its six-year partnership with the Television Academy after the 2015 Emmys. "We are grateful to the entire PMK*BNC team for all the work they have done to elevate our brand," added McIntyre.
