The owner of Melba's Restaurant has been a TV judge on 'Beat Bobby Flay' and 'The Worst Cooks in America,' and was victorious on 'Throwdown with Bobby Flay.'

Harlem restaurateur and TV personality Melba Wilson has signed with Buchwald.

The representation comes as Wilson moves deeper into the TV space after her eponymous eatery, Melba’s Restaurant, made her famous for its “American Comfort” menu. Wilson has struck an overall TV development deal with Pigeon Inc., the production company behind OWN's Iyanla: Fix My Life, to develop and produce non-scripted content.

She has made many TV appearances on 60 Minutes, Live with Kelly & Ryan, Good Morning America and The View. And Wilson served as a TV judge on The Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay and The Worst Cooks in America.

She also beat Flay with her celebrated fried chicken on his Throwdown With Bobby Flay series. Wilson's book, American Comfort, was released by Simon & Schuster in 2016.

Wilson is president of the board of directors for The NYC Hospitality Alliance and was appointed to New York City Mayor’s Bill de Blasio’s COVID-19 Small Business Advisory Council.
