“Happily Divorced” with Fran Drescher and “The Exes” starring Donald Faison are given series orders; “Retired at 35” also renewed.

TV Land has given series orders to two sitcoms, Happily Divorced starring Fran Drescher and The Exes, toplined by Scrubs vet Donald Faison.

In addition, the cabler has picked up a second season of Retired at 35, with George Segal, Jessica Walter and Johnathan McClain, and upped the Season 3 episode order for the Betty White starrer Hot in Cleveland from 22 to 24.

“TV Land is committed to building a new home for situation comedies and we are ecstatic to build and expand on the success of our original scripted programming,” said Larry W. Jones, president of TV Land. “Hot in Cleveland and Retired at 35 have proven to us that our audience is hungry for new sitcoms with relatable, experienced characters and smart, contemporary writing.  We’re looking forward to an amazing year working with all of this wonderful talent.”

Happily Divorced marks Drescher’s -- who starred in the long-running sitcom The Nanny -- return to TV and the actress will be joined by John Michael Higgins, Tichina Arnold and Rita Moreno. The series is based on Drescher’s real life and centers on L.A. florist Fran (Drescher) as she deals with dating after finding out her realtor husband of 18 years (Higgins) is gay.

The Exes (working title), centers on three divorced men who live together in an apartment across the hall from their divorce attorney, stars Faison, Wayne Knight, David Alan Basche and Kristen Johnston.

Happily Divorced, The Exes and Retired at 35 have all been given 10-episode orders. The Exes and Retired at 35 are slated for winter premieres.

Hot in Cleveland averages a 1.5 rating in the network’s target demographic of adults 25-54, a 1.9 in women 25-54 and 3.1 million viewers per episode. Retired at 35 scores a 0.7 in the net’s target demo and a 0.9 in women 25-54. It draws 1.6 million viewers.
