'Twilight' Star Kristen Stewart Blows Off 'Breaking Dawn' Wedding Rumors
The "Twilight" actress responds to reports about her onscreen wedding being ordained by a real priest, while director Bill Condon addresses "thrusting" during that love scene.
Web rumors about the actor performing the wedding in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 being a real ordained priest went viral this week. The implication, of course, being that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson might be really married as a result.
Admittedly, there are some real elements to the film. Kristen's wedding dress was designed by a very real designer Carolina Herrera, and the satin long-sleeved, lace back gown will be a style chosen for many a Twihards' real weddings. And Kristen and Rob, who play star-crossed lovers Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, are -- as we now all know -- romantically involved in real life.
According to director Bill Condon, the Breaking Dawn honeymoon was pretty realistic too. He actually had to edit the romantic sex scenes to earn the film a PG-13 rating "There are very specific guidelines on thrusting intercourse," he told Fash Track, adding, with a smile: "Kristen got very into it."
So that's a lot of real. But a real marriage?
About the only person on the planet who hadn't heard she might be legally married is Kristen Stewart. Asked about the real priest rumor, the actress told Fash Track: "Honestly, this is the first time I have heard about this. He didn't even remember the vows. I mean, he was great, but he kept saying our real names as well and he definitely messed up my character's middle name, calling me Bella Elizabeth Swan. So that's a funny story to come out of this. Was he really an ordained minister? I'd like to find out."
OK, Kristen, we're on it. Summit is on our speed dial.
